Overview

GanttBoard for Jira ("the App") is a project management tool built on the Atlassian Forge platform. This privacy policy describes how the App handles data.

Data Collection and Storage

The App operates entirely within the Atlassian Forge platform. Specifically:

• No external data transfer: The App does not send, transfer, or store any data outside of Atlassian's infrastructure.
• Jira data access: The App reads and writes Jira issue data (summaries, dates, statuses, assignees, issue links) to render the Gantt chart and apply schedule changes.
• App storage: Baseline snapshots and app settings are stored using Atlassian Forge Key-Value Store (KVS), which is managed and hosted by Atlassian.
• No personal data collection: The App does not collect, store, or process personal data beyond what is already stored in your Jira instance.

Data Residency

All data processed by the App remains within Atlassian's cloud infrastructure and inherits the data residency settings configured by your Atlassian organization administrator.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs.

Authentication and Permissions

The App uses Atlassian Forge's built-in authentication (OAuth 2.0). It requests the following Jira scopes:

• read:jira-work - To read issue data for the Gantt chart
• write:jira-work - To update issue dates and create issue links
• read:jira-user - To display assignee information
• storage:app - To store baselines and settings

Data Retention

Baseline snapshots and settings are retained in Forge KVS for as long as the App is installed. When the App is uninstalled, all App-specific data stored in Forge KVS is automatically deleted by the Atlassian platform.

GDPR Compliance

The App is designed to be GDPR compliant. Since all data remains within Atlassian's infrastructure, data processing is governed by Atlassian's Data Processing Addendum and your organization's Atlassian agreement.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
